Climatech recently designed and constructed a 3.6 Megawatt TRIGEN plant for Westfield at their flagship Sydney City Development. The plant provides clean, cheap and efficient energy to the entire precinct.

The project involved three independent 1200 kVA plants serving three separate precincts; Pitt St Retail (75,000m2), 100 Market St office (30,000m2) and 85 Castlereagh St (33,000m2). Integrating Thermax absorption chillers and Caterpillar gas fired generators, the project constitutes one of Australia’s largest and most ambitious commercial TRIGEN systems. The completed works has become an early success for the Sydney City Council’s plans to roll out large TRIGEN hubs throughout the city.
